Hi, I'm Mike Elser, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Wealth Management Advisor at Omnica Wealth in our Middletown, New York office. My professional journey began in 1999, and over the years, I've held various roles in financial planning and investment management. At Omnica Wealth, I specialize in crafting tailored wealth management plans that align with my clients' unique financial goals and life aspirations. What I enjoy most about my work is building long-lasting relationships with clients and witnessing the positive impact of sound financial advice on their lives.
Outside the office, I'm driven by a love of adventure and the great outdoors. During the warmer months, my family and I enjoy spending time together boating on Greenwood Lake. I'm also a member of the Hudson River Yacht Racing Association, a competitive sailing league, where we race against other boats in Haverstraw Bay. Navigating the open waters provides challenges and exhilaration that keep me “thinking on my feet.” My passion for boating and sailing not only fuels my quest for adventure but also teaches me valuable lessons in teamwork and resilience.
When I'm not on the water, you'll often find me on the golf course or riding ATVs with my daughter Ava and son Will. These activities are a wonderful way to bond with my family, enjoy the thrill of outdoor adventures, and pass down my knowledge of sportsmanship and hard work.
A fun fact about me: I've sailed in over a dozen regattas and once survived a week-long sailing trip with nothing but the essentials. Whether it's managing wealth, navigating the seas, hitting the greens, or exploring trails, I'm always up for a challenge and eager to explore new horizons.
What is your favorite outside-of-work activity?
My favorite activity outside of work is spending time with the kids.
What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
I think everyone should travel abroad at least once in their lifetime. Experiencing different cultures, I believe, is the best way to enhance your own.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
One thing people would be surprised to learn about me is that I am on a competitive sailing team. I grew up boating and sailing on the Hudson River (NY) and Narragansett Bay (RI). Since I was very young, we have always had a boat in the family.
